Temperance " Bones " Brennan, Ph.D. (born Joy Keenan ) is a fictional character played by Emily Deschanel in the American Fox Bone television series. Family and early life
Although Brennan seems to have a relatively normal childhood, his parents disappeared when he was 15 years old. In episode 7, "The Prisoner in the Pipe", Brennan worked inside the prison just when he found out who killed a prisoner there and Booth drove him out with the intent to take him to the nearest hospital, but they both knew he would not be on time. This causes them to drive to the inn close to the prison. At first, they were denied and ordered to leave, but after some desperate requests from ill-fated Brennan, they were both taken to a stall where she gave birth to their daughter, Christine Angela Booth (named after Temperance's mother Christine Brennan and best friend Temperance , Angela Montenegro). Some time after delivery, Temperance and Seeley both return to their home where they celebrate with their friends from the Jeffersonian, who bring a dinner that will last several nights as well as some baby gear. In "The Past in the Present", Brennan became the main suspect in the murder of his schizophrenic friend, Ethan Sawyer, after allegedly threatening to kill Christine. Max suggested Brennan to get out of the network and hide, but he and Booth did not follow up on this advice. However, at the end of the episode, after Christine was baptized in a Catholic church, it was revealed that Brennan decided to take his father's advice and run away with his daughter until his name was removed. Just before Brennan escapes the city with Christine, he tells Booth he loves her and not just because of their daughter. After he was released from Sawyer's murder, Brennan, Booth and Christine continued their family life.
At the end of Season 8, Brennan finally decided to marry Booth. However, their plans were destroyed when Christopher Pelant blackmailed the Booth blackmailer, threatening to kill five random people if Booth married Brennan. Booth calls from the wedding, but does not explain the real reason for Brennan. Brennan was destroyed but pretended to be fine with this. In the 9th season of the premiere, Brennan is afraid that since Booth rejected his proposal, he is afraid that the love of their lives is fading. After talking to bartender Aldo Clemens, a former pastor and Booth Captain of the Army confessed, he realized that it was unusual for Booth to suddenly cancel the marriage as he believed in marriage and that he might have a legitimate reason to do so. Despite the anger of his colleagues at Booth, he decides to stay with him, telling him that he understands that he has his reasons and has confidence that he will solve this problem. In episode 4, "The Sense in the Sacrifice", after Booth alone traces the Pelant down through the abandoned building and kills him with a single shot, he reveals to him that Pelant has blackmailed him. Pelant threatens to kill five innocent people if Booth resumes marriage or goes to the police or the FBI. At the end of the episode, he proposes and he gladly accepts; unknown to them, Caroline, Angela, and Hodgins watched it through a security camera. In "The Woman in White", Booth and Brennan were married at a small garden ceremony outside the Jeffersonian.
Their baby boy, Hank Jr. (named after Booth's grandfather) was born outside the screen sometime after season 10 and before the start of season 11.
Team "Sully" Sullivan
Brennan has a brief relationship with FBI Agent Tim Sullivan (Eddie McClintock), also known as Sully, whom he encountered when in a case when Booth was in therapy due to his sadness caused by anger over his perceived role in the death of the serial killer Howard Epps. Sully asks Dr. Brennan dating after their case is over, and they start a relationship. But their relationship ended when Sully decided to sail to the Caribbean, and Brennan refused to leave the Jeffersonian to go with him even though Angela tried to persuade her to follow him; psychiatrist Doctor Gordon Wyatt (Stephen Fry) speculates that this is because Brennan can not live without purpose. Regardless of Dr.'s original perception. Wyatt about why he lives, there are strong indications, especially through Angela's observation of the situation, that the real reason he stayed was because of Booth. Sully is back in Season 12.
