Kathleen Madigan (born September 30, 1965) is an American TV comedian and personality. In addition to his stand-up comedy show, he is a regular guest on various US television programs.

Early life and education
Kathleen Madigan is one of seven children in a large Irish Catholic family, Jack and Vicki Madigan, a lawyer and nurse. He grew up on the outskirts of Florissant in St. Louis, though his family also lived for some time in House Springs, Missouri and in the Lake Ozarks region of central Missouri. Madigan received his first eight years of education primarily in private Catholic schools, although he also attended public school at Osage. It was there that he excelled as a student athlete, participating in volleyball, tracks and basketball. In the latter, he set a record by winning the Mid-Missouri Hoops Shooting Championship in 1978. At 4'5 "tall, he was the shortest man ever to win the event.He shot with a low hand, drowning 14 of 15 experiments.
Madigan first took a job in print journalism, working for the Suburban Journals St. Louis and also the Missouri Athletic Club publications department. At the same time he performed standing during the night of "open mic" at the comedy club St. Louis. He praised Jack's father by encouraging him to try a comedic career. His increasing popularity at that time led to a job offer paid in standing position from The Funny Bone, a nationwide comedy club network. By booking thirty weeks from a guaranteed date, Madigan hands over his work in Missouri. He cites Ron White, Richard Jeni and Lewis Black among his influence in the early days of the comedy club.
Among the TV shows and Madigan specials have appeared are Last Comic Standing , I Love the 90s: Deux Section , Like '80s 3-D , and Celebrity Poker Showdown . She also starred in HBO Half Hours of Special Comedy and Special Gifts Comedy Central . He is a veteran of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Show with David Letterman > The Bob and Tom Show . He also hosts a radio program, Collar Blue Comedy, at Sirius XM Radio. Madigan has twice participated in USO shows to support American troops, tour Iraq and Afghanistan along with fellow comedians such as Lewis Black's friend. He sometimes writes material for other comedians, as happened in 2004 and 2005 when he was a writer for Garry Shandling when he hosted the Emmy Awards television broadcast. In 2016, he made an appearance on the web series Jerry Seinfeld Comedian at Cars Getting Coffee .

Personal life
Madigan is single and lives in Los Angeles most of the time. He also owns a farm in the Midwest and, according to him, "spends a lot of time" with his family there. Madigan has four brothers and two sisters. He often drew his father as a source of comic material and work ethic.
