Children's Health is a pediatric health care system in North Texas that is anchored by two hospitals, the Dallas Children's Medical Center and the Children's Medical Center, as well as seven specialist centers and 19 child clinics located throughout the county. Private, non-profit, Child Health organizations provide child health, acute health and care services for children from birth to age 18, including special care, primary care, home health, pediatric research institutions, and community outreach services.
According to the Beckers Hospital Review, Child Health is the fifth largest child health care provider in the country. Children's Health is also a kidney, liver, heart, intestinal, and bone marrow transplant center, and includes a designated Level 1 trauma center.
Until 2014, Children's Health is known by the name of its main hospital, the Dallas Child Medical Center. In September 2014, he changed his name to Children's Health, legally known as the Texas Child Health System.

History
Children's Health traced its origins in the summer of 1913, when a group of nurses organized an open clinic, called the Dallas Baby Camp, in the grounds of the old Parkland Hospital in Dallas. In 1930, Dallas Baby Camp grew into Bradford Hospital for Infants, who joined the Children's Hospital of Texas and Richmond Freeman Memorial Clinic in 1948 to form what is now known as the Children's Medical Center of Dallas. The Children's Medical Center was affiliated with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1964. In 2014, the Children's Medical Center expanded into Children's Health.

GENECIS Program
In May 2015, Children's Health announced the opening of GENECIS clinic. GENECIS (GENCE Education and Care, Interdisciplinary Support) provides counseling and support for children and adolescents with gender dysphoria through a combination of therapy, evaluation, and inhibitory drugs. The clinic was started by Ximena Lopez, a pediatric endocrinologist at Children's Medical Center Dallas who has treated patients with gender dysphagia for several years. This is the only pediatric transgender clinic in the Southwest.
