Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is an American hip hop group. It consists of rapper Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone. American West Coast rappers Eazy-E signed Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to Ruthless Records in late 1993, when Bone Thugs debuted with their EP Creepin on Come Up ah . The EP includes the hit single "Thuggish Ruggish Bone".
In 1995, the group released their second album, E. 1999 Eternal , which included hits "1 tha Month" and "East 1999". An award for the recently deceased Eazy-E, titled "Tha Crossroads", won the Grammy award in 1997. The Art of War , the group's third album, also released in 1997. Bone Thugs is the only group that has worked with 2Pac, Notorious BIG, Eazy-E, and Big Pun while they are still alive. The editor of About.com ranked # 12 on the list of "25 Best Rap Group of All Time", and MTV called it "the most melodic hip-hop group of all time".
In 2000, BTNHResurrection reached platinum in one month, while in 2002 Thug World Order received more moderate sales and promotions, becoming gold and peaking at # 3 on R & amps ; B/peak Hip-Hop Album Graph. After the album, the group went on hiatus from their label and released their sixth studio album, Thug Stories , independently in 2006. In 2007 they had another major-label release, Strength & amp; Loyalty , on the Swizz Beatz label, Full Surface Records. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony "official" returns with their 2010 album Uni5: The World Enemy , released by their own record label, BTNH Worldwide, with distribution by Warner Bros..
Due to the conflict within the group, longtime members Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone officially left the group in April 2011 to work with their independent label, The Life Entertainment. They will then return, formally reuniting the group. In August 2013, however, Layzie Bone announced that he would step aside to work more on his solo career. That same month, BTNH signed a contract with eOne Entertainment (formerly known as Koch Records), who had previously partnered with them to release 2006 Thug Stories . Layzie Bone has since reunited with the group. On April 28, the entire group performed in Biloxi, MS along with Juvenile & amp; Nelly. On June 1, 2018, Bone Thugs will reunite for a show outside Boston, Massachusetts, at the Wonderland Ballroom in Revere, MA.

Histori
1991-93: B.O.N.E. Tahun awal perusahaan
Formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1991, the group was originally called "The Band-Aid Boys". They then form B.O.N.E. Enterpri $ e, consisting of four members - Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone and Wish Bone (all except Flesh-n-Bone) - and recorded an album titled Death Face in their mentor studio, Kermit Henderson (brother Krayzie Bone) on his indie label Stoney Burke in 1993. Like so many rapper aspiring across the country, they are calling on executives at the record company, hoping to find someone who will listen. In hopes of securing a recording contract, the group is given an audition over the phone, accepting unfulfilled promises from Eazy-E rapper to call them back. Determined to contact him, they raise money for a one-way bus ticket to Los Angeles. They leave for the Greyhound track for three days and spend four months in the city streets, often calling to find him. Nothing came from their search except for the news that Eazy-E, in fact, was on his way to Cleveland for a show.
The quartet returned to Ohio, where Diego Blak (born Diego Hodge), a marketer and promoter who had been a co-executive producer of Faces Of Death, introduced them to Eazy-E at a concert he promoted in Cleveland. There, on November 2, 1993, they auditioned for Eazy in the dressing room; Krayzie featured the poem "Flow Motion" from the Faces of Death album, and Eazy was impressed. B.O.N.E Enterpri $ e then traveled back to Los Angeles after the Cleveland show to seal the deal. At this point, Eazy renamed them Thugs-N-Harmony, but because they wanted to keep the name of the bones, they made the name Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Eazy signed the group (minus Meat-n-Bone) to his label Ruthless Records.
1994: Creepin on ah Come Up
Released in June 1994, EP Creepin on Come Up ah was the debut of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony with Ruthless. The subject of this album is focused almost entirely on violent criminal activity. Peaked at # 12 on Billboard Top 200 Albums and # 2 on Top R & amp; B/Hip-Hop, including hit singles "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" and "Foe tha Love of $", the second featuring a verse by Eazy-E. "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" peaked at # 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and # 2 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart, and "Foe tha Love of $" peaked at # 41 on Hot 100 and # 4 on Tracks Rap. After a slow start that saw the album's success confined to a gangsta rap audience, it penetrated into the mainstream. The EP marked a major change in style for the group, as they now actually embraced the G-funk on West Coast hip hop at the time. Beats were provided by DJ Yella, Rhythum D, and Kenny McCloud, and it was the group's first collaboration with newcomer producer DJ U-Neek, which would make the group's distinctive sound by producing the majority of the next two albums. For over a year, Eazy-E has fostered their careers, continuing to serve as their executive producer and teaching them the business skills he has taught himself for years. However, the growing relationship was interrupted, when Eazy-E died on March 26, 1995, due to complications from AIDS. In short, the young rapper think they have lost everything by losing their friends and mentors. However, the group's potential is clear, and Ruthless Records continues to support them.
1995-96: E. 1999 Eternal
In 1995, the group's second album, E. 1999 Eternal , was released. This includes the single "1st of the Tha Month", which peaked at # 14 on Hot 100 and # 4 on Hot Rap Tracks, and "Tha Crossroads", which reached # 1 on Hot 100 charts and Hot Rap Tracks. The album generally saw positive reviews from critics when Bone has diversified its music content and style. Critics are particularly interested in the album because of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's ability to reduce the banality associated with rap gangsta in their music at a time when the subgenre has become very cliche. Most of the album's concepts are built on violent subjects, but they also include a deeper theme, because the songs are dealt with more spirituality and mystical mysticism. The album was produced by DJ U-Neek (with co-production from Tony C. and Kenny McCloud). E. 1999 Eternal also introduced a trace of the trademark Bone that fully uses marijuana. The album name comes from one of the street corner names (E. 99th street & St. Clair) which is a familiar hangout for Bone members, as well as the Eazy-E album, Eternal E . The naming after Eazy-E's album is just another way to show respect and appreciation to the rapper who has helped them achieve success. Also in 1995, Flesh-n-Bone will be the group's first member to release a debut album, titled T.H.U.G.S, which is certified gold by the RIAA. In 1996, due to their success, the Cleveland clan established their own label, Mo Thugs Records, and released a compilation album Family Scriptures to introduce many Cleveland-based artists and others they developed. E. 1999 Eternal is the most commercially successful album; has since been certified 5x platinum by the RIAA.
There is a plan for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to collaborate with West Coast rapper 2Pac in a studio album titled One Nation. This project will bring together other hip hop artists from all areas of the American map such as Clik Boot Camp, OutKast, Scarface, E-40, and more. Because unfortunately 2Pac shoot the album never paid off. However, pirated songs were produced while Pac was alive has been distributed.
1997-2001: The Art of War and BTNHResurrection
In 1997, the group released the double-disc The Art of War . The album sees Bone further exploring a wide range of subjects and styles, with more focus on God and family and overall a more ambient and gentle voice. The group still incorporates violent lyrics, however, with most of the albums dedicated to what they labeled "clones" that claim Bone has stolen their fast-labeled rap style and vice versa. The album is rumored to be titled "DNA Level C" which is a Cleveland retreat. The single "Look into My Eyes" appeared on the movie soundtrack of Batman & amp; Robin It peaked at # 4 on Hot 100 and # 2 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. "If I Can Teach The World", another single from The Art of War , reached # 27 on Hot 100 and # 3 in Hot Rap Tracks, and won the American Music Award. The album also includes "Thug Luv" with Tupac Shakur. The group's promotional efforts were dampened by Bizzy Bone's absence from the video album and from most of the next tour and other public appearances. This absence eventually sparked rumors of disunity.
In 2000, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony released BTNHResurrection , featuring the single "Resurrection (Paper, Paper)", which culminated in the Hot R & B/Hip-Hop at # 52. The first half of this album featured many hardcore and dark songs, with the second half being more introspective and gentle. Other singles from the album, including "Can not Give it Up", failed to break the Billboard Hot 100, and a video with a big budget for "Change the World" failed to receive any rotation. It was their first group album that prominently featured Flesh-n-Bone, whose presence was limited to previous releases because he never signed a contract with the group's label, Ruthless Records. The meat was convicted of being attacked with firearms and criminal arms possession in June 2000. Appealing, Meat was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
The group again started to have a public dispute with Bizzy Bone. Bizzy Bone abstained from promoting BTNHResurrection because he felt that Ruthless Records owed him money. He dropped the million-dollar lawsuit he filed against Sony Music and Loud Records in exchange for the termination of Sony's contract. Three members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony released a solo album in 2001: Bizzy Bone with The Gift , Layzie Bone (under the name L-Burna) with Thug by Nature , and Krayzie Bone with Thug on da Line .
2002-06: Thug World Order and Thug Stories
In 2002, the group released Thug World Order . The album, consisting of what is described as a song that is too loud and political, sees a drastic change in subject matter and tone for the group. The lyrics are almost completely devoid of any violence, while a large number of songs focus on the group itself. Instead, some songs were originally meant to be included in a leaked album after its release released a much different album. The album debuted at # 12 on Billboard 200. The first single released from the album was "Get Up & Get It", featuring 3LW. The second single, "Home", featuring Phil Collins performing part of his song "Take Me Home", peaked at # 33 on Rhythmic Top 40, influencing charts in a number of countries, notably the United Kingdom. Bizzy Bone was removed from the group in January 2003, leaving only 3 active members: Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, and Wish Bone. Thug World Order is Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's last album with Ruthless Records; after their original contract with Ruthless has ended, they decide they want to do their own thing.
Thug Stories , Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's seventh album, was recorded on Koch Records and released on September 19, 2006. This marks the first time Bone Thugs have recorded as a trio since they released an internet. only an EP album called Bone 4 Life in September 2005. Thug Stories features a slightly more mature style, and the group is more inclined to harmonic roots than its "thug" origin. The album sold 38,000 in its first week and reached # 25 on Billboard 200 and # 1 on the Independent Albums chart.
2007: Strength & amp; Loyalty and T.H.U.G.S.
Originally called The Bone Thugs Story , Strength & amp; Loyalty was released on May 8, 2007 on Interscope Records that printed Full Surface Records. Being their first big album after a nearly five year absence, the album debuted at # 2 on Billboard 200 and # 1 on iTunes and Billboard the urban music charts. This album contains guest appearances by Mariah Carey, The Game, will.i.am, Akon, Twista, Bow Wow, Yolanda Adams, and Felecia. Producers on the album include Swizz Beatz, Akon, Pretty Boy & amp; Bradd Young, DJ Toomp, Jermaine Dupri, will.i.am, and others. The executive producer of this album is Swizz Beatz. The first single was "I Tried", which was their first top-10 in 10 years, peaking at number 6 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The second single was "Lil Love", which failed to achieve the success of its predecessor. This album has been certified gold by RIAA.
2007 also saw the release of the semi-autobiography film I Tried, directed by Rich Newey, who explored what might have happened to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony if they did not get their break with Eazy-E. Layzie, Krayzie, and Wish Bone starred in the movie, playing on their own. Also in 2007, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony won the American Music Award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Band, Duo or Group.
THUGS , an album featuring previously unreleased Bone Thugs-N-Harmony songs, mostly remixed that did not make the final cut of BTNHResurrection and Thug World Order album, was released on 13 November 2007 by their former record label, Ruthless Records. Although this album embodies old tracks, there are some real changes: new beats, distorted production, sound manipulation, and new song titles. The single single from the album is "Young Thugs", which is accompanied by a newly recorded music video featuring Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy, and Wish.
In November 2007, Layzie Bone confirmed that he had finished the Bone Brothers III album with Bizzy Bone, spurring speculation about a full Bone reunion. In a video interview, Krayzie Bone stated that they all want to be reunited but the record label's problem might prevent an official reunion. Bizzy Bone had attended the Bone Thugers show during that time, and he and the three active members had a "good conversation".
After nearly a decade of detention, Flesh-n-Bone was released from prison on July 13, 2008. In an interview, Bizzy confirmed his return, the group reunited in time to free Flesh.
2010-13: < i> Uni5: World Enemy and Art of War: World War III
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's five official members returned with their new album Uni5: The World Enemy , released on May 4, 2010 by their own recording label, BTNH Worldwide, with distribution by Warner Bros.. Uni5 also marks the return of the longtime Bone collaborator, DJ U-Neek, who was absent from 2007 Strength & amp; Loyalty but has generated for the group throughout their career, including on hits "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" and "Tha Crossroads". The studio's efforts are leaning toward the right radio-friendly and adult-line numbers, with four core members offering life lessons as Bizzy provides her biblical perspective. They released the single "See Me Shine", featuring Jay Rush and Lyfe Jennings, and "Rebirth", featuring Thin-C, a member of Mo Thugs. The third single, "Meet Me in the Sky", was released on March 22nd.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony announced on their blog during the summer of 2011 that they are planning a new album for 2012. They repeat the plan in a November interview.
Throughout 2011, Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone and Layzie Bone talked about many upcoming new projects in 2012. These projects include a memorial album featuring all 5 members; a Bizzy & amp; Krayzie's duet album; and a compilation album of unreleased Bone Thugs-N-Harmony material from the mid to late 90s and 2000s, with the prospective title of Lost Archives Vol. 1 . The group put their differences aside to reunite and mark their 20th anniversary at the Rock the Bells festival in the summer of 2012.
During the summer of 2012, West Coast rapper Game took the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony "1st Of Tha Month" song in "Border", thanks to the legendary group. The game also posted a picture on its Twitter that shows the word "bone" made of marijuana. He later confirmed that he worked in the studio with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony on a remix of "Celebration" for his album Jesus Piece .
The Art of War: World War III was officially announced by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony in an interview with The Source (magazine) on March 25, 2013. In early November 2013, Krayzie Bone told HipHopDX that the Art of War III album will only feature Layzie, Bizzy, and Flesh-N-Bone, and that neither she nor Wish Bone has ever recorded any material for the album. However, Krayzie and Wish both eventually appear on the album in the form of previously unreleased songs that have been cut from Uni5: The World Enemy . The Art of War: World War III was released on December 10, 2013.
2014-present: New album, New wave
On July 15, 2014, it was announced that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will be releasing their last album in 2015. There will be only one copy released, to be auctioned off, with deals starting at $ 1 million. The group also announced it will hold a world tour of 20 countries starting in December 2014. The next day, Krazyie Bone revealed that the album will be titled E. 1999 Legends . He then told XXL that he had approached the group about a reunion album in the middle of the previous year, and they began recording it in late 2013. Krayzie estimates that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony may record 75 to 100 songs since they started working on the album, which was planned as a double-disc project. The first disc contains Bone Thugs-N-Harmony content exclusively, without features, and will have 18-20 songs. The second disc is planned to feature a large number of guest-big names like Mariah Carey, Kendrick Lamar, Phil Collins, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, A $ AP Mob, and Linkin Park, together with Dr. Dre & amp; DJ U-Neek, who were each tapped for this album. Damizza will produce/supervise all of the album E 19 1999 Legends albums, projected to be distributed through the Damreza Baby Ree Records label.
On February 14, 2015 - Valentine's Day - longtime producer and collaborator Bone Damizza officially presents the single "More Than Thugs", which is scheduled to appear on the album Damizza Presents. Delivery of group vocals on the song will be regarded by many as the voice of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony vocals. At the end of April 2015, the video for "More Than Thugs" was in the editing stage and featured 5 members. Flesh Bone and Wish Bone are in the studio together with Damizza in 2015 to complete the nearly complete eight Bone songs for E. Album 1999 Legends . Under direction from team A & amp; R and old manager Steve Lobel and agent Jamie Adler, they also worked on a remix of the Cleveland Machine Gun Kelly song titled "Till I Die". In August 2015, Krayzie announced that the first bid of at least $ 1 million had been received for E. 1999 Legends .
In 2017, Krayzie Bone and Bizzy Bone announced that they will be releasing their long-awaited duet album titled New Wave under the name Bone Thugs. The album's main single "Coming Home" featuring Stephen Marley was released on 24 March. Krayzie insists that the full Bone Thugs-n-Harmony group is working on a new album, but says that they will no longer auction off the album's rights.
