A raglan arm is an arm extending intact to the collar, leaving diagonal stitches from the armpit to the collarbone.
It's named after Lord Raglan, Baron Raglan 1, who is said to have worn a coat with this arm style after losing his arm in the Battle of Waterloo. Raglan's arm was invented by the Aquascutum coat producer for Lord Raglan so he could use his sword in battle. This gives the wearer more movement, not the usual head start.
Long arm raglan is a popular underwear (worn under the jersey) for the baseball team in MLB.
